Our Impact and Origins
The SIMPLE Approach (S.I.M.P.L.E. Blueprint) was born out of Nicole S. Turner’s real-world experience as a coach in a high school where the staff and culture were initially resistant to coaching.
Faced with this challenge, Nicole recognized that a shift in culture was essential. She collaborated closely with the principal, and together, they initiated a series of culture shift strategies over three years. Some strategies succeeded, while others needed adjustments, but gradually, coaching began to take root. As a result, the school saw remarkable improvements: graduation rates climbed, and 10th-grade ELA and Math passing rates increased. Moreover, teacher attendance rates improved significantly. Coaching wasn’t the only strategy implemented, but it played a crucial role in these successes, laying the foundation for what would become the SIMPLE Blueprint—an approach that emphasizes collaboration, data-driven decisions, and sustained impact.
Today, the S.I.M.P.L.E. Blueprint is transforming schools by empowering coaches, improving school culture, and boosting teacher efficacy and student achievement. The evidence below is based on pre- and post-surveys conducted by Simply Instructional Coaching before and after school year training sessions delivered by Nicole S. Turner.
The data was collected from coaches who received a full year of support from Simply Instructional Coaching, which included onsite trainings, multiple virtual trainings and support sessions, and access to the SIMPLE Blueprint online course.

Simply Instructional Coaching is currently developing a white paper and conducting independent research to further validate these findings and explore the long-term impact of the S.I.M.P.L.E. Blueprint.
